DREYFUS 2008 TAX INFORMATION AND MAILING
SCHEDULE
Early November through December
Preliminary year-end distribution
information: Provides
estimates of short-term and long-term capital gains and income to
be distributed to shareholders as of the fund's record date. (Note:
Final amounts could differ from estimates and typically begin posting
in December. A complete list of final year-end distribution information
is available on January 1, 2009.) You can also access the most current
distribution information by calling Dreyfus Express®
at 1-800-645-6561.
Early January
Year-end statement (householded): Reports distributions
and activity in each fund account for the year.
Statement of Tax Exempt Income:
If applicable, you will receive the statement with your year-end
statement.
By January 31st
Tax Package with the following (if applicable):

Form 1099-DIV (Dividends and Distributions): Reports taxable
income and capital gain distributions over $10; provides general
reporting instructions.

Form 1099-INT (Interest Income): Reports tax-exempt income over $10; provides general reporting instructions.

Form 1099-B (Proceeds from Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions):
Reports gross proceeds from any sales (redemptions) of mutual
fund shares, excluding money market funds, IRAs and certain qualified
retirement accounts.

Form 1099-R (Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, IRAs,
Retirement or Profit Sharing Plans, etc.): Reports a distribution
made from a retirement plan or IRA. If this distributed amount
was not rolled over into another tax-deferred account you will
need to include all or part of it in your ordinary income for
tax purposes.

Average Cost Accounting Statement: Calculation of the capital
gains and/or losses realized on exchanges or redemptions for funds
with a fluctuating net asset value (NAV).

Tax Information Guide:
Regarding enclosed form(s).
Form 1099-Q: (Distributions
from Coverdell Education Savings Accounts): Reports a distribution
made from a Coverdell ESA (formerly known as an Education IRA).
By March 16th
Form 1042-S: Reports taxable dividends and income tax withheld
on accounts owned by nonresident aliens.
By May 31st
Form 5498: Reports all IRA and SEP-IRA rollover and regular
contributions for the 2008 tax year.
Form 5498-ESA: Reports all
Coverdell Educational Savings Account contributions for the 2008
tax year.
