  How to Open an Account with Dreyfus

Investing with Dreyfus is easy. Just follow the instructions below to open up a Dreyfus Mutual Fund or a brokerage account through the Dreyfus Lion Account® or speak with your financial advisor.

  1. Read the prospectus.
    Download or receive an account kit by mail that contains a prospectus and account application.


  2. Complete the fund application.


  3. Mail investment (payable to The Dreyfus Family of Funds) and the completed application to:

  1. Open an account online or request a Dreyfus Lion Account® investment kit by mail.


  2. Read the client agreement, disclosures and money market mutual fund prospectus and complete the application and (if applicable) transfer form.


  3. Mail any combination of checks (payable to Dreyfus Brokerage Services) or securities totaling $10,000 or more and completed application to:
