With Dreyfus Express®, there's a new way to get the information you need: Ask for it. And if you don't want to wait, interrupt.

That's right — interrupt.

Dreyfus Express® is a voice-activated information line that provides automated access to product, account and market information. Dreyfus Express® listens closely to your requests and fulfills them right away — whether you're checking account balances or ordering tax forms. The information below describes how easy it is to use Dreyfus Express®.

This voice-recognition technology brings you a variety of important benefits:

  • Plain-English commands are intuitive and easy to remember.
  • No more searching for the right key to press on your phone.
  • Faster service saves you valuable time.

Words that appear in are Main Menu Options.
Say a Main Menu Option at any time from the Main Menu to head to that section. Each bolded word is a command you can speak once you've reached that section or you can even say it from the Main Menu to jump right there. When you're done, just say "Main Menu" at any point and you'll be brought back. Then you can jump to the next section by saying another Main Menu Option or bolded command. At any time during the call you can say "Main Menu," "Help," "Repeat," "Cancel" or "Representative" and you'll get exactly what you've asked for.

MAIN MENU OPTIONS
1. (shareholders and non-shareholders)

  • "Price and yield" (also available within "Account balance")
  • "Prospectus"
  • "Fund information" — Includes projected "distributions" (seasonal), "fund descriptions" and "total returns."
  • "Market quote" — You can also say "Dow Jones," "Nasdaq," "S&P 500," "S&P 100," "Russell 2000" or "Treasury quote."

2. (shareholders only1)

  • "Account balance"
  • "Dividends" — Provides dividend and capital gains information.
  • "History" — Lists recent investments and transactions.
  • "Personal Portfolio" — Simplifies life with fast, one-command access to all the information you want most — from fund quotes to account balances to market quotes. A representative will help you set up and customize this feature.

3. (shareholders only1)

  • "Tax forms" (seasonal)
  • "Checkbook" — Order a new checkbook.
  • "Statement" — Get a copy of your most recent statement.
  • "Check copy" — Request a copy of a redemption check.
  • "Investment slip" — Order additional deposit slips.

4. (shareholders only1)

  • "Fund exchange"
  • "Purchase"
  • "Redemption"

5. Transfers you directly to a Dreyfus Representative, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Eastern standard time (shareholders and non-shareholders).

 

SPECIAL FEATURES

"Help" (available systemwide) — Offers guidance based on which section you're in; for example saying "Help" in the Main Menu will help you navigate the Main Menu.

"Main Menu" (available systemwide) — Returns you to the Main Menu.

"Repeat" (available systemwide) — Repeats the most recent instructions or information read by the system.

"Cancel" (available systemwide) — Cancels last requested transaction.

"Next" or "Previous" (only available in Personal Portfolio section) — Cycles through your Personal Portfolio items.

"Access" (available in the Main and Account Menus) — Use this when you've already accessed one account and are trying to access a different one.

 

TIPS
Feel free to interrupt: You can say "Main Menu," "Help," "Repeat," "Cancel," or "Representative" at any time to get exactly what you need. Just say "Goodbye" or hang up at any time to end the call.

Speak clearly: For best results, speak clearly and directly into the phone and keep background noise to a minimum. You can also use the touchtone keypad on your phone to enter some information, such as fund codes or your account number.

Before you call: Have your personal identification number (PIN) and either your Social Security number or account number ready to access the system. If you don't have a PIN, make sure both your Social Security and account numbers are handy. You'll be prompted to create a six-digit PIN that will give you speedy access for all subsequent calls. Your PIN will also give you access to your accounts through our Web site (www.dreyfus.com).

Know your funds: You should know your fund's name and/or its four-digit code, both of which can be found on your statement.

For faster access: Take advantage of the Personal Portfolio service — a customizable list of frequently accessed "favorites" (see above).

 

Download a prospectus for more complete information on any Dreyfus fund, including management fees, charges, expenses, and share classes, as applicable. Please read it carefully before you invest.
